Last summer, the famous Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK held a music video competition for their new song "Broken Heart of Gold" and I created this video with my friends. Although we couldn't win the competition, I'm sure that this experience made me realize that I want to pursue a creative career in the future. Now I'm so happy that I could spend one month bringing passion into creating this video with my friends.
~Description~
The theme of this video is ”escape".
The girl is robbed of her freedom by a strict father who belongs to antisocial forces. Playing the flute is the only way to enjoy her time, but even at that time, she can't escape from father's surveillance.
One day, a high school boy met her on the pedestrian bridge. The boy is fascinated by her, but his friend warns him because the girls' father looked so dangerous. But after that, the boy couldn't stop thinking about her. A few days later, he saw her and her father again. He tries to save her, but his friend stops him to protect from her father: antisocial forces.
The girl slightly had a hope that the boy might be a saver, but she stopped thinking like this not to involve him in danger.
The boy is depressed and blames himself that he couldn't save her.
His friend explained what happened on the pedestrian bridge to the boy's parents and they got angry and worried about him and reminded him not to interact with the girl anymore.
Overnight, he kept thinking and decided to go and save her, but that means betraying his family and friend. Nevertheless, he severed ties not to involve his important people from danger.
However, the friend was waiting for him on his way. The friend expected his action and came to stop him again. Both two fought each other and the boy pushed the friend down. Then, he realized that he can never go back again and ran away. When he was trudging along the river, finds a knife. Then he realized that killing her father is the only way to save her from her father. He kills her father, holds her hand, and runs away together.
~Details~
The rooftop and the riverbed
The rooftop is the place which implies the girl's world, whereas the riverbed where the boy trudged is the boy's. At the end, the boy suddenly appears on the rooftop and in the next scene, the boy and girl are in the riverbed. That means the boy saved her through bringing her into his world.
Flute
In several scenes, the girl struggles to push one of the buttons of the flute, and when the boy pushed his friend away, she could finally push the button. We setted the bottan as the signal that shows "somebody is coming closer to save the girl". The connections with his important people were completely broken when he pushed the friend away. The button implies that the boy has sacrificed his heart of gold to meet the girl.

I made this video when I was a second grade student. My English course(SEC) has a special educational curriculum, called "Genius Hour", which allows students to pick up any topic to learn for a year. At the end of the school year, all SEC students give a presentation about what they learned in English, which is regarded as the most huge and important presentation in SEC.
I like riding bicycles and cycling, and I wanted to learn how to edit videos. Coincidentally, one of my classmates Jun had the same idea, so we decided to go on a bicycle trip together with my GoPro camera.
The concept of my video is "introduction of beautiful Japanese places for travelers from overseas". I believe that this would be a quite strong weapon to start conversation and make connections in foreign countries.
Total Distance of riding bicycle: 250km

"Rhapsody" is the video which introduces my classmates' personalities and our memories of high school life. My school held a class video competition in 2020 instead of a school festival (because of Covid-19, the school festival was canceled). I made different bgms for each classmates' scene to express their personalities.
~Description~
We named this video "Rhapsody" because every classmate has a unique talent and individuality.
If you carefully watch each scene, you can find a pet bottle in every student's scene.
The drink I drank at the beginning is a mixture of those drinks. That's why in the video, I came up with songs about my classmates by drinking the mysterious drink.

「Warning Warning Shogaku-sei」
This is my first original song. I started to make this song to learn how to use DAW software (Logic Pro), and how to compose music only by myself.
In conclusion, I can't be satisfied with this. I really couldn't use Logic Pro the way I wanted to, and the song went far from my original image. However, from this experience, I've become eager to make music and learn these skills. Now, I'm quite aspirated to pursue music production at university.
